Even though it’s just one body part, drawing a realistic eye takes a lot of skill. Meet Our New Painting Instructor
Roya Rastegar Sani
"My education was in the field of computer science and I obtained a master's degree in executive management (MBA), but my interest and passion for painting since childhood led me to artistic activities. Under the supervision of professors such as Mr. Ali Akbar Begi, Rahim Navessi, Professor Naimi, and Professor Mir Sadrai, I pursued courses in hyperrealism, realism, miniature, etc.
My paintings and artworks are inspired by the rich history and culture of Iran, especially traditional Iranian tile art, combined with modern female figures. This fusion represents a bridge between tradition and modernity, telling endless stories. Most of my paintings are done in oil. I believe that painting and architectural design complement each other to create creative yet pleasing artworks. The use of traditional symbols, combined with modern painting, communicates this fact in my art.
Firstly, I hope tradition embraces modernism and growth. Secondly, I yearn for a return to the past. In my paintings, I often aim to provoke viewers to voluntarily explore the depths of their souls. Due to my art, I was selected as one of the 13 best women of Iran. I was also chosen as a speaker at the first TED-X event for children in Iran. Additionally, because of my creative paintings and distinctive style, I was awarded the Golden Visa of Amara as a commemoration."

My daughter is taking piano lessons at the Music Academy and showed interest in drawing lessons because some of the works displayed in the showroom and school are quite well done. Best art classes! I was a 100% beginner with zero talent for art but had always been curious about painting lessons. I heard good reviews about their classes from my friends and decided to try their school. The staff here and the painting teacher were very friendly and welcoming, which made me feel at ease and fully enjoy the class. The studio is inside the music school, and you can sometimes hear the music playing in other rooms, which adds to the cozy and relaxing atmosphere for me. Five stars to this wonderful art school!! If you want to take painting classes in West Vancouver, I'd recommend this place!
